Today marks the 25th Birthday of the famous game franchise Metroid,since its release in 2002, has sold just under 3 million copies worldwide making it a slowing death kill to the game world. Even if the famous game back in the day made a big impact on sales it seems that Nintendo is no longer celebrating its Metroid Roots. As Mario galaxy gets another kick and Zelda get a new
game release, Metroid is left in the back stage collecting dust "hopefully not for long" Since Nintendo loves to bring back some original games.

Metroid fansite Shinesparkers has put together a really cool tribute video featuring not only the kind words of fans all over the internet, but some high-profile video game industry celebrities, such as world renowned video game composer Tommy Tallarico.
