Zendesk has been compromised (hacked) Zendesk the Customer service Help desk turned into customer disservice on Thursday, when a security breach at Zendesk spilled over to affect Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest users. I feel sorry for those IT guys who kept there clients information with them.
Zendesk, which supplies customer service software for the three companies, said on its blog that hackers downloaded the email addresses of users who contacted the three social networks for support help, along with the subject lines of said support emails.
Since most end users never touch Zendesk directly, most users’ first awareness that there might be a problem with their personal information will come via an email from one of the affected services. I received an email from Tumblr this evening at 11:05PM PST, saying that my information may have been exposed.
This is another lesson for those who keep there clients information online, Silvermyst does not keep clients information online such as Emails, phone numbers, addresses, ect. The Trouble ticket system we got is simple
"Our system only displays the computer brand, ticket number and the date that was issued to fix, it also adds the issue for the item but never do we put our clients information or the products serial number"- Juan Diaz
Just another reason why we love Silvermyst so much. :)
