Printer Troubleshooting (Basics)

We’ve all had it happen. For whatever reason your printer has stopped working. But why now? You have an important report to get out ASAP. Well, before you take the printer to get fixed, there’s some basic printer troubleshooting you can do to speed you along. The simplest and often times best solution is a printer reboot. If after this you still need help, please schedule an appointment here.

Here are the steps: 
1. Turn off Printer

2. Unplug ALL cords from back

 3. Leave printer unplugged for 1 minute

 4. Reboot the PC while the printer is unplugged

5. When the computer is back up, re-attach all the printer cords

6. Plugin printer

7. Turn on printer Look for indicator lights and “ready” or “OK” Is everything green/good to go? Do you see errors on the screen? Test print something

8. If these simple steps fail, then you may be experiencing driver conflicts or other issues with the computer such as junkware (internet browser issues, Windows updates, etc)

Scam stinks more than Spam

If you are a regular Craigslist user, be aware that some spammed target your every move and will email you a bail letter saying they got a few task for you and once you reply back the trap is set. The scammer is pretty good at relying conversational messages and around the 3th time, it will be asking you for personal information and how to send the payment without you even touching the item.

Pandora Is a bad boy

We still haven't heard much more about that Federal Grand Jury investigation into Pandora and other mobile apps over privacy concerns, but an independent security firm has now gone ahead and taken matters into its own hands.  I know we all have some music in our libraries and upgrade or buy a new PC and transfer them on to this specific tower and you love everything about it.,THAT IS until you try to burn your songs and movies and figure out that the new burning program is blocking you from burning ,thinking that
its "ILLEGAL" material. The big corporations are trying there best to protect the artist and music industry from people just downloading and burning there materials without the root of purchase, making it VERY hard for users to actually back-up there music into another Blank CD since the new burning programs (not all) have copyrighted encoding that lets them know if the music was purchased legit.

 This shit causes lots of issues because as a purchaser! You have the right to back-up your information and people get really pist off if you can't get the ability to do that making you think twice about purchasing music from online stores such as Itunes.
Well the only thing that is getting you on the way is the encoding on the CD and the burning program that reads those coding making it difficult for you to download and RE-burning your music.BUT  there's light to be shine,and the solution is all about using OTHER CD burning programs such as the one shown below.

Be aware that your music files should be FORMATED into MP3 because MP4 and other formats will not work into burning an AUDIO cd which you want to put into your jukebox in your livingroom or your walmart cd player.

Jail Break your Iphone 3G

The iPhone hacking faithful can now unlock and jailbreak their original iPhone, iPhone 3G, and iPod Touch 1G devices with the much-awaited PwnageTool 3.1. Unfortunately, the
hacking tool does not yet support the iPhone 3GS or the new iPod Touch, but an update is expected soon.



Arriving only a week after Apple released the 3.1 software update for the iPhone and iPod Touch, DevTeam has set free Pwnage Tool 3.1. The software allows you to create and install custom firmware packages to jailbreak your Apple device and also use SIM cards from carriers other than AT&T (or the original carrier you purchased your iPhone from).


Pwnage Tool 3.1 is only available to users of the original iPhone, the iPhone 3G, and the first-generation iPod Touch. The DevTeam says on their page that Apple is making it increasingly difficult to hack the iPhone 3GS and the second-gen iPod Touch with each new firmware update the company is launching.

The DevTeam advises those who SIM unlocked their 3.0 software on the iPhone 3GS not to upgrade to Apple's official 3.1 firmware but to wait until they come up with a solution, which is expected in the coming weeks. The same applies for iPod Touch second-generation users.


As usual, a kind reminder that jailbreaking your iPhone or iPod touch is not something that Apple likes you to do and it will void your warranty. But if you know what you are doing (and follow the instructions closely) Pwnage Tool will give you access to the Cydia app store, a place full of apps that allow you to further customize your iPhone and also use many of the apps that Apple rejected from its own app store.

Twitter link with Facebook

Its a pain in the ass when you're trying to update your status on facebook and twitter at the same time. You have to keep visiting the pages over and over just to copy and paste the same status and share them with friends taking your time away from doing other valuable things. Is there an easier way to sync between apps.?

Sure is honey!!!!! and its called APPLICATIONS within the sites, heres the steps for linking twitter with facebook.

Step 1: Search for “Twitter” in Facebook’s search field.

Step 2: The first result should be the one you are looking for. It is the application “Twitter.” Click “view application”

Step 3: Add the Twitter Facebook Application.


Step 4: Choose your settings and add the Twitter Facebook Application to your profile.


Step 5: Enter your Twitter login information.


Step 6: Choose to have Twitter update your Facebook status.


Step 7: Allow and Authorize Access for Twitter to Facebook.


Step 8: That’s it! Now every time you update your Twitter, your Facebook status will update automatically.

Explorer or Firerfox?

Microsoft has enjoyed the victory of being the top list of web browsers but not anymore. Since the release of fire-fox the percent of the Internet Explorer had drooped to almost 85% of its traffic down-load hits making fire-fox rise to an extreme 12.5% giving it a crown to wear for web browsing.

Today marks the release of Fire-fox 3 - a major milestone in web browsers in my opinion.

For all of my beloved readers that use Internet Explorer to browse the Internet, please won’t you consider down-loading Fire-fox and giving it a try? It is really easy to install and to start using. It also is a lot quicker and safer than Internet Explorer.Have a look at the chart below to see how Fire-fox stacks up against Internet Explorer.

Not only does fire-fox let you a more customized web browser but at the same time it wont effect the capacity of web browsing and it wont let those annoying pop-ups show your screen, the size of the installation is small and doensnt need so many updates as IE does. The program is well respected by big web-site editors such as CNET.com and PC choice awards magazine which tells that fire-fox is compatible for any OS system out there “even mac”.

For those who down-loaded AVG anti-virus you can be sure for it to be firefox ready to scan those hacked viruses sites which is every computer geek dream come true “who doesn’t like to be safe when watching porn” lol

Fire-fox is powered by its functionality of extension applications which make it expandable,fast,easy to whatever your heart desires, just go online and look for the plug-ins you want and enjoy. The list is long and i cant go on to say more reasons why you should use fire-fox,but keep in mind and try it out and let me know what you think.

If you want to down-load the application please down-load it on your right bar and if you want to transfer your IE favorites and links it also has that option for you so you don't have to revisit those pages ,another reason why fire-fox won my heart over.

Finding Your System Information

If you are ever corious about finding any general information about your pc and what it has inside you can find out in 2 simple ways. This is how many tech geeks search why your speed is slow and what type of processor your computer has or mite need and its a great way to install the proper hardware for your needs and expectations.


How to find BASIC information :

• Go to start
• Control panels
  
• click on system (if you dont see it and just see a few choices plz click on classic view)
• you should either see one of the below pictures

If you can see it tells you the proper information to know JUST THE BASICS of what your pc is doing , but lets say you just intalled a new video card and it doent work but want to know were you can find it on your computer and such.

There is a way to check all of your components that your PC has and see what errors or what updtates your hardware needs (drivers) be sure you install the hardware properly so you wont damage or change the settings on your computer and start acting weird. If you have any errors you want us to solve please put a note in our calendar and we will post it on the PC ERROR SECTION.

So lets go on....

FINDING THE ADVANCE SYSTEMS INFORMATION ON ALL HARD DRIVES

• START
• CONTROL PANELS
• Click on systems (like before if you cant see it try using the classic view mode)
• Now theresa few TABS such as "general system restore,computer name,advance" Please click on the HARDWARE TAB
• Now click on the DEVICE MANAGER
• 

Now as you can can see the whole hardwares were seperated and set for your specific needs which makes it pritty easy to look at what your destination is.

If you have a hardware or any Drivers errors a little "!" or "?" will appear right next to it and you can double click to fix the issue, be aware that you have to install the hardware and drivers the right way (please check your instructions in the box)

Usually all Drivers comes with your hardware (in the box) so be sure you install them right.
