Women In The Video Game World

 Feminist Frequency is a video web series that primarily explores representations of women in pop culture such as TV shows, movies, comic books and video games.  Mainstream popular culture has become, for better or worse, our dominant form of storytelling especially in Western cultures and these stories do have a profound influence on our lives, perceptions, values and belief systems — even if we don’t always like to admit it.  So my goal with Feminist Frequency is to explore the tropes, stereotypes and patterns that are

most often associated with female characters in mass media.  Not all tropes are problematic, of course, so I focus specifically on deconstructing recurring patterns that tend to reinforce or amplify preexisting regressive notions or attitudes about women and women’s roles in our larger society.

This video explores how the Damsel in Distress became one of the most widely used gendered clichés in the history of gaming and why the trope has been core to the popularization and development of the medium itself.

This is one good educational view for those who don't really pay attention to video game gender bending.

Dumb Ways To Die

Now this is an educational video I'm willing to see over and over just because its cute,gross, and playing educational. Please don't hate on the little guys. The video its called "Dumb Ways to Die"

This video  is part of a campaign to help prevent train-related deaths in the state of Victoria, Australia  which  features various animated characters singing a catchy tune warning of the dangers of acting unsafely around trains. The film may end up winning a third Grand Prix since it is favored to win in the Films Lions category later this week.

 It even got 50 million viewers on YouTube. So Cute to die for.

Latte Art of a Nerd

Meet Kazuki Yamamoto. He's a latte artist. You've probably seen the work of latte artists before and how they can draw things like hearts or leaves in steamed milk. But you've probably never seen anything like this.

Kazuki once day would love to own his own latte and do the same artistic designs for everyone of his customers, we can only hope with such great art and publicity he would actually be able to pull it off.

Every month I change my desktops dual wallpaper to reflect something beautiful and wonderful. Today I'm giving you guys the glamorous art designs that I've found online. Remember that Dual means that you have 2 monitors on one computer. To set the wallpaper properly you have to be sure its set on Tile, not on stretch or any other feature on the background properties of windows.

Paper Mario PaperCraft

This is really cool, I remember playing the paper Mario game and now you can bring the paper mustache hero to real life. When you rotate the lever, Mario will jump up and a coin will come out of the box! Awesome!

Co-Play Final Fantasy (Pics)

I am a big fan of Final Fantasy and I like to sometimes see if someone can really take a hard look in making a co-play design and clothing that matches so good to the game and make it to the Silvermyst page. Here is one of them, NealBomBad's Cecil Harvey from Final Fantasy IV  is one of the designers that has been within the making for 8 months (the armor). You are looking at the judge of greatness. He did everything in a 3-D modeling software and 3-D printer. It looks bad ass and the photos sure got my attention.

NealBomBad told GameInformer, "The most difficult part was figuring out how to attach all the armor to themselves and to the body suit."

You don't have to just go with their pictures since you got an option to upload your own and even share it on your social networks.


This is a perfect way to start a small beer business "hey no need for a graphic designer when you got this app" Its fun, easy and you can drink and app, Get it!!! LOL

Please drink responsible and If your sticker sucks, just drink your beer and maybe with a few, your sticker won't look that bad.

New Logo

This will be the new logo design for Silvermyst we will add them in our products and services such as invoices, photography shots, and other materials we can get our hands on (ours) It took me a while to see if I can change it in any way but I think this is a good start.

This special Halloween we will be showing you how to make your skin look more zombi-sh and scare the living creatures roaming today for candy. Its simple and creative and not to mention easy to make, these helpful tips from the experts will make your scary night into a fantasy creamer. Flying Sphere Machine (Video)

The sphere uses off-the-shelf parts, can be built for $1,400, and can hit speeds up to 37MPH and hoovers around like an aircraft making it a little puddle of joy for anyone who owns one. The main purpose for these spheres can be use in rescue situations and other military use or even spy on someone.

I can imagine one of these babies talking to me and helping me get things done around the house or in public. I say this is the first step for the rise of terminator or a happy ending (like Wally) we just have to keep these native countries in check so they don't screw us first.

Sweet 16-15 Special Event

This was a very successful and beautiful event that I had the pleasure to photo-shoot, I moved quickly to take some good shots and stumbled on a lot of similar faces from my last events in Warsaw.
