Boomerang Google Chrome

Chrome/Firefox/Safari: Boomerang, a popular browser extension for Gmail users, schedules your messages to be sent at a later time or reappear in your inbox at some point in the future. For awhile, you had to use a "manage page" to edit and scheduled items, but now you can do that directly from the message itself in Gmail.


The latest update makes this super simple. To edit a scheduled message, all you have to do is open it up in Gmail and click the edit button. Then, change the date and time to what you want. "OK Google"

Google promised that we'd get hands-free voice search in Chrome back at I/O 2013, and it's delivering today with the beta of its Voice Search Hotword extension for desktop Chrome 31 users.

As long as you're either sitting at Google's home page or have a new browser tab open, the add-on lets you start a search by saying "OK Google," much as you would in Android 4.4 KitKat. Anyone eager to move beyond mouse-and-keyboard queries can grab the extension today from the Chrome Web Store.

For those who have the Feature on your phone...well let me just tell you "I will be getting it this Christmas from Santa" .......I hope. lol

Gmail New App Update

Other features within the new Gmail for Android application include a new streamlined user interface with a swipe-down to refresh feature and sliding drawer with labels and account switcher to help mange multiple accounts.

Together with small images now shown alongside messages and improved readability, as well as the ability to empty trash. The latest Gmail for Android app is supported on devices running Google’s Android 4.0 operating system and higher.

If you'd like to try out the new inbox on your mobile device, click on the gear menu in Gmail on the desktop and select Configure inbox. The next time you use your mobile device, primary mail will be shown first and notifications will only appear for primary mail. It's easy to access and keep track of email in other categories by opening the menu.

These updates include some other new features. On Android, you'll get a new design with profile photos, a navigation menu, and more.  On the iPhone and iPad, you can choose to receive notifications for all messages, only important messages, or no messages at all, on a per account basis.

"Do A Barrel Roll" on Google

Today I saw that Google had a buzz out on the web and on twitter about doing a barrel roll and was wondering "wtf is that about" the first thing on my mind was the famous Nintendo 64 Star Fox and I was right. When you go to Google.com home page and type in "Do a barell roll" the screen actually does it and also searching the Z or R twice will make it happen too.

It was so cool to watch I had to try it about 3 times before I ran tried showed my friends. Peppy, the game’s veteran space pilot rabbit, tells hero Fox McCloud to “do a barrel roll” (a feat accomplished by pressing “Z” or “R” twice) multiple times throughout the game.

Googles New Gmail Make Over

Well you all saw the leaked out polish version of googles secret Gmail look and HECK you even heard of some rumors about it and how that shots have been out to the public google announced the goodies to everyone accidently.

 

The First thing I notice is the look....yeah yeah it seems like the interface is about to become a lot less optional. The tool bars can be changed anyway you want and the look is just like the new calendar all white and nice. A video was accidentally posted to YouTube today by Google (since pulled), offering a tour of the revamped email service. Most of it will probably look a bit familiar, but the Mountain View crew still has a few tricks left up its sleeve.

Now if google liked these videos accidently....I dont want to think they would do that to my data...right?
